The Domination of Specialization:
This section talks about how magazines began to focus and specialize on certain niches, in order to reach a certain demographic. Mens magazines, sports, cooking, do-it-yourself, celebrity, and travel are just a few of the different types of these specialization magazines.

As far as reaching different niches and different demographics, I think magazines have done a lot to put the concerns and ideas of cultural minorities closer to the lime light. Once these concerns and ideas go public, I think it is easier for the world to consider the demographic a bigger part of the over all community. At that point, I think that the community as a whole is more likely to address the group's issues in an effective way.
